Maybe I could offer it to Clive, maybe I could get 5'00? In a nutshell - all of France (of course), the Peloponnese (plenty of hills to make it interesting), Malaysia (the contrast after Europe), Cambodia with son Sam riding alongside, and the above ride to Luang Prabang. There you go - 25 seconds.Mike Brockie and Judy Yeomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14349870137540210709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7355389936307511436.post-33569428938825897902013-04-13T23:25:38.802+12:002013-04-13T23:25:38.802+12:00Hi Agi, Great to hear from you. The highest we got was 1,400 metres which is nothing compared with the real tour! However, with this heat and our panniers it was a good workout for us. All the best with your own cycling in the gym - it can be really hard work can't it? That said, we are back in Thailand and keeping off the roads for a couple of days while the country is on holiday to mark the Buddhist New Year. All the best with your own travels. Anyway I wanted to let you know that I shared this post with my spin instructor and he enjoyed reading you comparing your trip in Laos with the Tour de France - especially because we are doing racing classes all week this week :)
Again; good on you guys pushing through! I find it hard enough to push my own weight through a 45min class uphill - not sure how you do it with luggage tied to the bike.. :)

Lots of love,
AgiAgihttp://www.agimphotography.com.aunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7355389936307511436.post-16269676289961751472013-04-08T22:48:08.582+12:002013-04-08T22:48:08.582+12:00I met your son sam in thailand and he told me abou...I met your son sam in thailand and he told me about your journey, i have throughly enjoyed reading your blog and think it is absolutely amazing and inspiring what you are doing. It's just awesome to read.

Stay safe as always, and have a beer one day looking at the sunset for me.KShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12694384988041278117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7355389936307511436.post-25521731611511311772013-04-03T17:00:14.304+13:002013-04-03T17:00:14.304+13:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07301900374867115402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7355389936307511436.post-39131608284777757742013-04-03T15:28:19.439+13:002013-04-03T15:28:19.439+13:00Hi Marilyn, Actually we are really enjoying the ro...Hi Marilyn, Actually we are really enjoying the roads in Laos - there is very little traffic and so long as we remember a couple of things it is fine. 1. Size is everything - trucks and buses have right of way over cars and vans, cars and vans have right of way over tuktuks and motorbikes... and yes bikes and tandems are at the very bottom of the pecking order. 2. People often drive on the wrong side of the road - for no apparent reason. As cyclists we just keep looking ahead to spot them in plenty of time so we can get out of the way. Otherwise, no problem! Thanks for your comment and nice to hear from you.Mike Brockie and Judy Yeomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14349870137540210709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7355389936307511436.post-92018993902665552892013-04-03T08:27:37.118+13:002013-04-03T08:27:37.118+13:00Last night's Dangerous Roads on TV1 was largel...Last night's Dangerous Roads on TV1 was largely Laos!
